The "Nessmuk" knife was popularized by writer and outdoorsman George Washington Sears (1821-1890) who wrote under the pen name "Nessmuk". In 1884, Nessmuk wrote a general book on camping, "Woodcraft, 1884" in which he briefly describes his choices for cutting tools.
These knives are my interpretations and variations of the Nessmuk knife. I have found them to be excellent little utility knives equally at home in the woods or in the kitchen. F or more information about Nessmuk, see "The Nessmuk Knife".
This is a really sweet version of the traditional Nessmuk knife.
